Bentonville is a small southern town that did not historically house plantations or other stereotypical structures or architecture. Its history ranges from a hunting ground for the Osage Nation, farmland for white settlers, and a large apple industry to its current renown as a popular mountain biking destination. Southern Living magazine has dubbed Bentonville a new hub for the arts and outdoors. The Crystal Bridges Art Museum, the Museum of the Native American and Devils Den and Osage Park lend cultural and environmental references.
